Public service is a journey. It is built over time — through experience, responsibility, the issues a representative chooses to champion and, ultimately, the difference that representation makes in the lives of the people.
For Hon. Adedeji Stanley Olajide, popularly known as Odidiomo, that journey began in 2019 with his election to the Federal House of Representatives to represent Ibadan North-West/South-West Federal Constituency. Re-elected in 2023, he entered the 10th Assembly with the experience of a first term behind him and greater responsibilities ahead.
Across the 9th and 10th Assemblies, his legislative record reflects a combination of representation, lawmaking, committee responsibilities, constituency interventions and a growing focus on technology, education, youth development and national development.

9TH Assembly
2019 – 2023 | First Term
Odidiomo’s first term in the House of Representatives established the foundation of his legislative career. From his first motion at the inaugural sitting, his interventions covered issues ranging from environmental degradation and flooding to education, technology, infrastructure, security and institutional reform.

Bills & Motions
His legislative initiatives during the 9th Assembly included:
- A bill seeking to upgrade the College of Animal Health Production Technology, Ibadan, and establish the Federal University of Agriculture, Ibadan.
- A bill to establish the National Assembly Library Trust Fund to strengthen research facilities and resources for legislators and staff.
- A bill seeking to amend the Nigerian Postal Service Act and provide for a Courier Service Regulatory Agency.
- A motion calling for the completion of Enterprise Infrastructure and application projects of Galaxy Backbone Nigeria Limited.
- A motion on the need to digitalise and automate National Assembly activities.
- A motion seeking stronger regulation of telecommunications companies modifying roads and other public infrastructure.
- A motion on the need to revitalise Nigeria’s textile industry.
- A motion concerning charges on cash deposits and withdrawals under the Central Bank of Nigeria’s policy.
- A motion seeking an end to the practice of pre-trial parades of suspected criminals.

Constituency Development
The first term also saw interventions across education, healthcare, youth development and community infrastructure.
These included support for schools and students, healthcare interventions, ICT initiatives, empowerment programmes and community-focused projects within the constituency.
Among the documented projects were the Youth Development and Sport Health Centre at Ososami, including the supply and installation of furniture and sporting equipment.
10TH Assembly
2023 – 2027 | Second Term
Re-elected in 2023, Odidiomo returned to the National Assembly with the experience of his first term and assumed a more prominent leadership role.
He currently serves as Chairman of the House Committee on ICT & Cybersecurity, building on his professional background in information technology and his earlier legislative work in ICT and digital development.
His second term has seen a stronger concentration on digital transformation, technology policy, national security, education, youth development and constituency impact.
Legislative & Policy Initiatives
Digital Economy & Governance
Odidiomo has sponsored the Digital Economy & Governance Framework Bill, aimed at providing a comprehensive legal and regulatory framework for Nigeria’s digital economy and digital governance.
ICT Education & Skills
He has also sponsored the Federal Institute of ICT Bill, proposing the establishment of a Federal Institute of Information Communication Technology in Idanre, Ondo State, with the stated objective of expanding ICT education and creating technology hubs across the South-West.
National Security
His 10th Assembly record also includes a National Security Motion in 2024, reflecting his wider legislative interest in strengthening national security and institutional capacity.
Technological Development
Technology has remained one of the defining areas of Odidiomo’s legislative and constituency work.
His background in Information Technology has informed his interest in digital inclusion, ICT education and the use of technology as a practical tool for economic opportunity.
Within the constituency, documented interventions include the development of ICT centres, digital learning centres and technology hubs, alongside training designed to give young people and other constituents practical digital skills.
These interventions include:
- ICT centres at Community Secondary School, Ayorinde Street, Ekotedo.
- ICT centre at Adifase High School, Apata.
- ICT hubs at Comprehensive High School, Oke-Bola.
- ICT hub at Oba Abass Aleshinloye Grammar School, Eleyele.
- Digital learning centres across selected secondary schools.
- ICT and digital literacy training for constituents.
- Digital marketing and technology skills training.
- Distribution of laptops and support for beneficiaries.
The broader objective is straightforward: to make technology more accessible and turn digital knowledge into opportunity.
Education
Education has been another important part of Odidiomo’s constituency interventions.
The approach has combined direct support for students with investment in learning environments and school infrastructure.
Documented interventions include:
- Over 300 JAMB forms provided to students.
- School-fee support for constituents.
- Construction and furnishing of six blocks of classrooms at Urban Day Secondary School, New Adeoyo GRA.
- Renovation of a three-classroom block at the Special Basic School, Ring Road/Hospital/Adeoyo.
- Provision of learning and instructional materials.
- Support for ICT-enabled learning environments.
The emphasis is not simply on getting students into school, but on improving the conditions in which they learn and giving young people access to the tools required to compete in a changing economy.
Healthcare
Healthcare interventions under Odidiomo’s constituency record have focused on improving access to medical support, particularly for constituents who may struggle to meet the cost of care.
Documented interventions include:
- Free medical care through selected private medical facilities within the constituency.
- Assistance with medical bills for constituents.
- Support for healthcare needs within the constituency.
- Earlier medical outreach programmes providing examinations, laboratory tests and medication.
- Community health-related interventions and public health awareness.
Healthcare remains an important area of constituency responsibility, alongside the wider objective of improving access to quality and affordable care.
Youth, Women & Empowerment
Representation also extends beyond legislation to creating opportunities for people to improve their economic circumstances.
Odidiomo’s documented empowerment interventions have included support for youths, women, widows, elderly people and vulnerable members of the constituency.
Among the recorded interventions are:
- Cash empowerment programmes reaching 2,000 youths, women and vulnerable constituents in December 2023.
- Further empowerment interventions in 2025 and 2026.
- Digital skills and ICT training for young people.
- Support for constituents seeking economic opportunities.
- Assistance directed towards women, widows and vulnerable groups.
The objective is to provide practical support while creating pathways towards greater economic participation and independence.
